What engine powers the 2020 Supra?

The standard engine in the Supra is a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder. This engine will be able to pump out 365 pound-feet of torque and 335 horsepower. To further enhance the engine, it is matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which includes racing-style paddle shifters. This engine comes with the 3.0 and 3.0 Premium Supra, so both of them will also be getting launch control, an active rear differential, and adaptive suspension. This means that the engine is perfectly balanced, and will allow for some serious power to be produced.

What about the first 2020 Supra?

The very first 2020 Supra was a part of an auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. This took place at the Barrett-Jackson Auction on January 19th. This model in particular featured matte black wheels, a red leather-trimmed interior, red mirror caps, and a Phantom Matte Gray exterior. The top bidder received an engine cover that included Akio Toyoda's signature. All of the proceeds from the sale itself was donated to the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the American Heart Association. How much did it sell for? Just a stunning $2.1 million dollars. That number further shows the excitement that surrounds the Supra, and the generosity displayed by bother the buyer and Toyota for immediately putting those funds towards great causes.
