The undeniably capable and terrain dominating Toyota TRD Pro Trucks are back for another model year and we could not be more excited! TRD Pro models were first unveiled in 2014, encompassing the very best of the brand's off-roading and rich racing history. Each TRD Pro vehicle offers enhanced off-roading performance and unique styling that is curated for optimum operation when the pavement ends. The 2019 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra models will all be receiving the TRD Pro treatment, gaining a slew of outstanding off-roading features like Fox shocks, all of which has been designed in-house by the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) engineers. These trucks will be available in three striking exterior colors for the new model year and they include Voodoo Blue, Midnight Black Metallic, and Super White. We have all the latest information about the TRD Pro models so keep reading to learn more!

Tacoma TRD Pro

Kick your adventures up a notch with a 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro model! This truck takes off-roading capabilities to new heights with 2.5-inch Fox front shocks (these front shocks utilize 8 bypass zones and 46 mm pistons), TRD tuned springs -- providing another inch of front lift, 2.5-inch rear shocks (these shocks utilize 11 bypass zones) paired with 2-inch piggyback reservoirs. The Tacoma TRD Pro model is also outfitted with a larger front sway bar that helps preserve crisp and clean steering as well as superior on-road manners. Exterior features include an enhanced front skid plate with red TRD lettering, a cat-back TRD exhaust that is enhanced with a new Black Chrome tip, LED daytime running lights, projector-beam headlights with black sport bezels, and unique TRD Pro badges. As well as a black grille with TOYOTA branding, LED taillights and fog lights with black sport bezels from Rigid Industries, 16-inch TRD Pro alloy wheels, and Kevlar All-Terrain tires from Goodyear. Moving inside the truck, features include TRD branded floor mats, a premium JBL audio system, the Entune infotainment system, and leather-trimmed seating with TRD branded headrests.

Tundra TRD Pro

Toyota also updated the Tundra TRD Pro for the 2019 model year! The Tundra receives the same 2.5-in front Fox shocks with 46 mm pistons but they are lifting the Tundra up a total of two inches and they also increase the wheel travel by more than 1.5-inches, fine-tuned damping, 2.5-inch rear shocks with 2.5-inch piggyback reservoirs -- this has increased rear wheel travel by more than two inches too! The Tundra is also receiving LED fog lights from Rigid Industries that help improve overall visibility and LED accent lights and headlights -- both receive a unique black treatment.  The front end is accented by the grille's TOYOTA branding and new hood scoop and the rear end of the truck gains TRD Pro stamping. The Tundra also gains brand new 18-inch forged aluminum BBS wheel in satin black wrapped in all-terrain tires. These wheels reduce the un-sprung by a total of 134 pounds which improves the trucks overall ride quality! Toyota also outfitted this truck with Black chrome exhaust tips, a TRD Pro ¼-inch skid plate with red Toyota lettering, and dual TRD Pro exhaust. Inside of the Tundra TRD Pro, you will find armrests, seats, and dash with red accent stitching, leather-trimmed seats, TRD Pro floor mats, and a center console and shift knob with the TRD Pro emblem.

Safety for the Road Less Traveled

Even in the Toyota TRD Pro models, safety is vital to the construction of each truck. Each TRD Pro model is outfitted with the latest safety technology including the Star Safety System. This system consists of Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control, Brake Assist, Anti-Lock Brake System, Smart Stop Technology, and Electronic Brake-force Distribution. Both the Tacoma and Tundra are equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense P package which is comprised of automatic high beams, Lane Departure Warning with a Sway Warning system, high-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
